Athlete-Driven Design

Waterproof, windproof, breathable.

Named for OR's team of athletes who were instrumental in the products' design - Mark Abma, Micah Evangelista, and Sophia Rouches - the Team Glove collection includes three styles: traditional glove, 3-finger, and mitt. Each style boasts premium materials like 2-layer stretch-woven nylon, goat leather palm, bluesign®-approved, PFAS-free Gore-Tex ePE waterproof insert, and VerticalX™ ECO insulation.

Team GORE-TEX Gloves

The Team GORE-TEX Gloves feature GORE-TEX ePE and VerticalX™ ECO technology, bluesign® approved materials, touchscreen compatibility, and a feature-loaded design, designed in collaboration with and to meet the needs of the Outdoor Research Snow Athlete Team.

Team GORE-TEX Mitts

New this season is the Team GORE-TEX Mitts which are the result of a direct collaboration among the Outdoor Research snow athlete team. This fully loaded mitt features reliable GORE-TEX ePE and VerticalX™ ECO technology, bluesign approved materials and touchscreen compatibility.

Team GORE-TEX 3-Finger Gloves

Made with the same durable Gore-Tex ePE and VerticalX™ ECO technology, the new 3-finger glove is the perfect hybrid between the Team glove and Team mitt. According to our Senior Product Manager of Outerwear, Charlie Berg, "the 3-finger is a ridiculously good ski glove."

Design & Materials

Barret Willet, Outdoor Research Design Manager for Accessories & Gear, weighs in.

The design team behind the Team Glove collection isn't shy: these are the best Snow gloves available from Outdoor Research. Willet said the three models perfectly blend supple goat leather with the durable, 2-layer stretch woven nylon. "It's a beautiful fabrication we use throughout a lot of our premium gloves. It's highly weather resistant, it's breathable, it's got a good feel to it."

Additional Insights

  • Durable, reinforced outseams

Design Manager Willet said the team looked at OR snow athlete Rouches’ current pair of snow gloves, the Point N Chute, to evaluate wear and tear points to make sure the Team Glove addressed durability.

  • Wide, bonded under-cuff

“We sent [the cuff] on a trip to K2 with professional alpinist Graham Zimmerman and just loved it. So, we started seeding it with our athlete team. It’s big, but really low bulk and not very puffy, so your jacket just slips right over it,” said Willet.

  • Embossed leather OR logo

"We started to rethink how we treat our logo. This beautiful, embossed leather logo has started to become a fan favorite around here and it's helped us put these gloves on kind of a pedestal," said Willet.
