Kirsten Van Horne

Kirsten is an emerging freeride mountain biker who grew up in the small town of Nelson, British Columbia. Although she didn’t start riding mountain bikes until high school, the landscape that surrounds her home always spoke to her and offered a chance to get out and engage with the natural world, and the strong mountain bike community quickly helped to turn her curiosity into passion. Inspired by the work ethic of her parents and athletes like pro skier Leah Evans who are as passionate about caring for the places she loves as they are about their sports. Her passions extend beyond the bike, and when she’s not ripping around her local trails you can usually find her backcountry skiing, climbing, or travelling to the next adventure.
