Damon Iwanaga

mtb

Damon is a freeride mountain biker currently living in Incline Village, NV. Growing up in the California Central Valley, his path to pro mountain biking began on the motocross track like many of his colleagues. Damon first saddled up on a motorcycle at the ripe old age of 4 and was ripping around the motocross track by age 8. His focus remained on motocross through high school until he moved to Truckee, CA, to be closer to beautiful Lake Tahoe. With hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails just out his backdoor, Damon submersed himself in the local mountain bike scene. The skillset he developed on the motorcycle transferred well to the bike, and it wasn't long before Damon was competing in the regional race series. Soon after, he was invited to the Santa Cruz Fest Series Stop, CruzFest, which cemented his transition into professional mountain biking.
